Every motion in a card scene is a named, scene-agnostic animation — the library below is the vocabulary any card scene specs against, not just this one — and it is categorized by WHAT it acts on: the text (the type itself, in its home) · the frame (the world's light & sound — the fills, §4) · the card (the whole card turning over) · the vitals (the bottom line, §5) · the interactives (the elements the reader touches, §6). Every element on the card gets a tile — animated or not: static elements (the ▶ press play, the cue) carry prominence knobs (size · brightness) instead of motion knobs. Each tile shows the animation in isolation (looping), tagged with its category, with its knobs: on/off and intensity (soft · standard · strong). The bottom row lists where it plays — one segment number per occurrence (the same number repeats when an effect recurs inside one segment, e.g. the cone's 4·4). Click a number — or the whole tile — to play it: the card jumps to the before lead-in (default 2s: one card early, held, then the firing card — so entry transitions land with their run-up). And the segment panel is tabbed: About (the segment's read) + one tab per animation used in the selected segment — each tab wears the actual thing used (HOOOONK · truck-light · RUMBLE · 76–128 bpm · the page's first words, derived from the beats; colliding labels disambiguate as RUMBLE ·scale / ·flick), with its demo, its current setting and the other choices, "plays here" chips for this segment's exact cards, and the category's other animations to pick from: on the frame and card surfaces picking re-casts what plays at this segment's slots (a per-segment substitution — try the truck as lightning; presets reset it); on the scene-wide surfaces it opens that animation's knobs. Changes apply to the live card instantly and keep your beat. Two text-category tiles live in the Dear Kuya letter — labeled here so the catalog is complete.
The song is a continuous lyric threaded through the whole scene, not a decoration per beat. Once it starts it holds the card's bottom line — where the tap text lived — a standing strip that pulses as the card's vital sign while the world talks over it; when it is fully IN, it earns its own page — a card where the lyric breathes alone — and then continues on the bottom line with the next part. And every card carries one event at a time (§8). The arc: her ▶ ritual lets the music in (its first page) → the world clips it mid-word at the knock ("…the soul that is in—") → dead through the near-miss → it leaks back tinny under the tarp → Edgar thumbs it up, the words come back line by line → the payoff line takes the white card → at "only to be revived by you," the closing page. How far in the music is = how much of the frame it holds.
Her walking-home track, playing low under Edgar's chatter — the lyrics say what she won't: look at what this boy could be. The world clips it mid-word.
We are more than just good friends…c2 · the page — the ▶ lets us into her ears; the thesis lands alone
This is how the story ends…c3 — continuing under the kulog cue (the cue's own card, §8)
Too bad that you couldn't see…
See the man that boy could be…c5 — under Edgar mid-chatter: the reader is told where to look
There is more than meets the eye…c6 — as her shoulders brace, unseen
I see the soul that is in—c7 · the knock — the tricycle clips the player; the song dies on the word "in" — the music fails to get in
The track on the wheel when Edgar turns the world back up. It names her state before anyone dares to, and hands the scene its gift: her true worth, known.
Umiiyak ka na naman…c17 · tinny — a ghost line leaking from the swinging player: the music still trying
Namumugtong mga mata…
Sa libu-libong pagkakataon…c18 — he thumbs it up, up: the words come back solid
Na tayo'y nagkasama…c19 — and slowly, the rumble loses
Alam ang 'yong tunay na halagac20 · the white card — the payoff line takes the one transcendent page (§2)
Something new comes up on the little wheel — Edgar's leitmotif, never named; band-recognition stays the reader's. Her eyes find the world, then him.
It took one look…
And forever lay out in front of me…c21 — her eyes clear; they find him
One smile, then I died…c22 — neither says a thing; they let it play
Only to be revived by you…c23 · the page — the music all the way in, because of him; the closing lyric page
